Summer in Vancouver can be so jam-packed with events that it's difficult to know which ones to choose so that you can make the most of your time in the City. That's why we're launching our St. Regis events picks, where we'll use our local knowledge to pick some can't-miss happenings in and around Vancouver.
St. Regis Hotel Event Picks
August 3rd: Enjoy a spectacular fireworks show during the final day of the Celebration of Light festival. Up to 400,000 spectators come out to watch the show. Click HERE for a list of best places to catch the show.
August 4th: Vancouver hosts one of the largest annual Pride celebrations in the World and the Pride Parade draws over a half-million spectators and participants.
August 3rd-5th: Just steps away from the St. Regis Hotel, Granville Street will be turned into the Viva Granville long weekend party.
August 10th-11th: The TD Chinatown Festival is an all weekend celebration of more than a century of heritage and history in Chinatown.
August 17-September 2nd: The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) has been the best part of over 100 Vancouver summers. This year's edition includes live music, a midway and a whole world of family entertainment. Click HERE for information.
August 24th-25th: Stanley Park is one of the World's great urban parks and this year it celebrates its 125th Anniversary with a full weekend of music, sports, family fun and more.
Mondays-Fridays: Each weekday from noon-1pm, CBC hosts their Music Nooners with different acts playing live outside CBC's studios on Hamilton St., just around the corner from the hotel. Click HERE for the schedule.
Friday/Saturday: The Chinatown Night Market is back, refreshed for another year with new vendors, events and features. It's held from 6-11pm each Friday and Saturday night until September 8th.
