This summer, Casey Kitamura joined the staff of the St. Regis Hotel as Assistant Manager. With 20 years of elite hospitality experience in the Inter Continental and Sheraton Groups, Casey immediately made an impact on the team with his exceptional professionalism and guest service.

This month, our new addition welcomed a new addition to his home in the form Elisa, a 7lb 10oz pound baby girl and a new little sister for big brother Matthew. This is the second child for Casey and his wife Valentine and the proud parents are happy to report that Alice is happy and healthy.

It’s not often that the St. Regis Hotel gets to be part of front-page news, but that’s just what happened Wednesday, October 7th when Google held a press conference in the St. Regis Room to announce the launch of Google Maps Street View for Canada.

Mayor Gregor Robertson joined several Google staff members and the full spectrum of Vancouver TV, print and radio media for the announcement. Google Maps Street View provides “the last level of zoom” with on-demand 360-degree street level photos so that visitors can get visual reference points and the curious can check out their own streets.
