The King of Steakhouses
April 22nd, 2009
Winning an award can sometimes involve a luck and good timing, but winning the same award six times in a row isn't about luck anymore. Instead, it's a testament to consistent excellence. The St. Regis Hotel is proud to congratulate one of our partner restaurants, Gotham Steakhouse, on having won the Vancouver Magazine Award for "Best Steakhouse" for the sixth year in a row. Vancouver Magazine called Gotham the "King of steakhouses" and we definitely agree with that! Click here to visit Gotham’s home page.
The Famous and the Fabulous at the St. Regis Hotel
April 7th, 2009
The last few weeks have been exciting times at the St. Regis Hotel, as they have been for the whole city of Vancouver. We've welcomed a number of famous guests and their media visitors to our boutique hotel in Downtown Vancouver. We've hosted friends from the world of music who were in town for the Juno Awards along with vinophiles who were visiting to attend the Playhouse International Wine Festival.
Last week, we hosted a press conference for the international charity Right To Play and had a number of TV cameras and reporters from the likes CBC, CTV, Sportsnet and ShawTV here to cover the announcement of a big new fundraising event in May. The media were here to meet a number of Canadian Olympians and medalists like Beckie Scott, Steve Omischl, Adam Kreek and Ben Rutledge who were here to make the announcement.
While those people are all pretty well-known, the most famous person who made our hotel their home recently was Lady Gaga, in Vancouver on her sold-out North American tour. Using our plush business centre as an interview room, Lady Gaga held court for a whirlwind of media interviews and attention. Here's a video of one of the interviews.
The best thing about the St. Regis Hotel Vancouver is that you don't have to be rich and famous to experience our world of luxury, outstanding design and elite, unobtrusive service. Click on reservations to book your stay today.
