Good times and a great cause combine at the Flavours of Fall Wine Tasting
Posted October 4, 2011
While it’s halfway around the World, the current famine in East Africa is a tragedy which has moved the staff of the St. Regis Hotel to initiate fundraising efforts over the last two months. Along with soliciting donations from guests and staff over the course of August and September, we hosted a wine tasting on Thursday, September 29th in the Regis Room at the St. Regis Bar & Grill which featured over 50 wines from local suppliers along with beers from Phillips Brewing and food from the St. Regis Bar & Grill.
Hotel guests mingled with local attendees while sampling wines. Some of the highest praise of the night went to the food provided by the St. Regis Bar & Grill who kept guests happy with appies like Pulled Pork Sliders and Mini Yorkshire puddings stuffed with Prime Rib along with amazing cheese and fruit platters and fresh thin-crush pizzas.
This was the first wine tasting we’ve done and we’re looking forward to host more of these events in the future so make sure to stay tuned to our Twitter and Facebook for details of future events.
We're still adding up the totals from our fundraising efforts and will announce the total donation in the upcoming days.
